Service Provider System:

We are proud to present our Service Multiplexer System for Digital Radio applications (DAB). SMX100 is our full-featured multiplexer and SPC100 is the system manager.

Our 1U PC based solution makes the system scalable to suit both small and large applications The scalable system structure allows solutions both with or without upstream entities depending on the local infrastructure and requirements. Besides upstream entity data, the user can of course locally insert MPEG audio or data into the outgoing multiplexed bitstream.

The SPS gives radio stations and others the advantage to locally control the audio and data content insertion. The SPS gives the user control of a part of the ensemble, while the entire ensemble still is controlled by the Ensemble Provider.

The SPS can act as a "midstream entity" or "intermediate node" (SPUE/DE) as defined by the WorldDAB STI Task force, i.e. it can handle incoming STI bitstreams from an upstream entity, re-multiplex it and pass it on to a downstream entity. The downstream entity is likely to be an Ensemble Multiplexer (if not yet another SPS)

NEW!

The Factum Service Provider System (SPS) can be realised on different hardware configurations and with different levels of connective redundancy. This provides a choice of both hardware redundancy and connective redundancy to fit different requirements.
